Sorry I didn't mean intermezzo, I meant sorbet.

When Megan gave us the new book it only had the pasta in it no sorbet. I'm going to ask for it tho. I booked there in December 2006 so hopefully it won't be an issue!

THANKS!!! It's a great place - I fell in love with it the minute I stepped inside!

OH, and, wifetobe, it looks like your wedding is the day before mine!!!

I hope we get great weather that weekend!!!!

We are so excited to be getting married here. I'm just so worried it will rain that day. I know all brides fear that, but me esp. because I'd love an outside ceremony. I mean, the inside is pretty, but it's just not the same as out by the water, you know? PRAYING WE ALL HAVE LOVELY WEATHER!

I am making my own bathroom baskets, Michelle said they can provide them for like $35 each or something. I'm picky so I'm doing them myself.

I want to ask her if they have any sort of AV system set up. I made a slide show on our MAC but have no way to show it and do not want to pay my DJ $400 to show it. It's a 3 minute presentation!

What are some of the dishes that people raved about from your CH?

The baked clams, the calamari, baby lamb chops, corned beef and the eggplant parm.

ETA: the only upgrade we paid for was the clam & oyster bar and it was amazing!

It was a torrential downpour on my wedding day, not a shower, but a freak thunderstorm. It hailed. But Meghan, Vicky & Megan felt so bad for me that they worked overtime to calm me down & cheer me up. Vicky even joked that they had been praying for me all day for the rain to stop. And in the end....it was a beautiful ceremony, everyone loved the cocktail hour. Honestly, having it inside, made it more intimate than it might have been outside.

Yes, I reaalllly wanted it outside, but I wouldn't change a thing!

Can I just say how much I love this place and how no one knows about it.
I just love the feeling we got when we went to look at it, so cozy.
Did anyone use their florist and if not what are you using in place of the CPs?
Also what hotel did you block?

Re: Riviera

Hey ladies!

I don't post much, but I'm very excited to see this thread!

I did want to add, though, that I recently asked Vicky if we could remove the intermezzo, because even though I feel like people eat more at CH, having the main course of dinner at practically 10:30 was weird for me.

She said it was totally okay to cut out the intermezzo, and now we have more time for dancing because the main course is 1/2 hour earlier!

So, I bet if you ask to nix it, they'll let you.

Re: Riviera

We're using flower michele for the centerpieces but we are going to keep our flower credit from Tim's and get small 4x4x4 cubes with a single gerbera daisy in place of the roses that we'll put around hte cocktail hour, bar and escort card table. They light up too, I'm really excited about the flowers.

Hotel wise we are using the new Marriott in Farmingdale b/c it was very nice, all new and they provide a shuttle, but if you want my option, they've been very difficult to work with so far. If you want details, FM me

Re: Riviera

I put the provided CPs in the cocktail hour room. I had cotices and rose petals as CPs. I wanted it simple and cozy. Too many flowers in winter always confused me!

As for hotel, about 90% of my guests were OOT so I picked the Marriott solely for the location and free shuttle. They weren't the easiest but once the day arrived, they were amazing! They were great with the OOT bags and shuttle and even out treats in my suite while we got ready and when we returned that night.
