Okay, FI and I are doing cd favors. FI is a rocker and he wanted to put WASP Love Machine on the cd which is very negative '...all love does is cause you pain, you can love me, but I won't feel the same' he told me he likes the music, that no one listens to the lyrics. I do!!! Anyway, I need help finding real love songs for a rocker/metalhead.

I think it's a guy thing...my FH is a metalhead and he tends to just listen to the music and the beats...I think it's more a girl thing to listen to the lyrics and put meaning to them. If you don't feel comfortable putting it on there are tons of other songs.

Ok, i'm into very hard metal, my FH is into hardcore. Needless to say, we don't want to scare the entire wedding party away, but we do want to have music at the wedding that reflects who we are. I've been pondering the same things as you have!
We'll be having a band (haven't even started that process yet!) so i was thinking that while they have their break, we could have them play a cd that has songs on it for the two of us. Nothing toooo heavy or offensive, but something that all our friends will know and recognize as being 'us'.
I agree, its difficult to come up with suggestions! Most of the bands i listen to, you wouldn't even understand the lyrics anyway! I say go with stuff like Kiss, Van Halen, Zeppelin etc. that will have long songs or ballads - that way you'll have a style of music that you like, while still making sure your guests aren't covering their ears.
I'll be watching this thread for more suggestions!
