Room Block- So upset UPDATED- AT BOTTOM

So months ago I had expanded my room block at the Fairfield Inn in Syosset to 25 rooms. I figured that would be close enough to what we would need.

The sales manager there isn't super nice, but she added the rooms for me

So I keep getting calls today from people trying to book and the hotel is sold out

So I call to see if my block is full, and they go- yeah, you 15 rooms are full

Whaaaaaaa? 15 rooms?

Liars. They took away my other 10 rooms. And we have a frigging bus booked there and back for the reception

I am LIVID. Actually broke into tears.

After all the hone calls, after verifying the extra rooms, etc....they still lied.

I will NEVER do business with Marriott again

The funny thing is, I have done architectural work for a bunch of Marriott higher ups (including the president's brother) in the DC area....Marriott is based in DC. They will be hearing from me

Watch out girls, this has been nothing but lies and trouble and broken promises

Oh man. That sucks. (I used work there in college actually. Lol. ) Sorry to hear that. Have you thought about just cancelling the whole block and going to another hotel?

no the effing hotel is booked

And most others are almost full as well

I am LIVID

I was lied to, The sales manager is a wretch and so I had her call on speaker phone for my office to listen to

I was told they were going to add 15 rooms to my 10 block, for a total of 25 and the didn't do it

They added 5

Frankly, I want to cancel the whole thing and the effing bus company that they recommended based on their faulty business practices

Looks like the Best Western down the block can add a block for me and maybe even shuttle people to the Fairfield for the bus to the reception

I am just livid and would like to punch someone in the face

I am so sorry. I know what it is like to work with a TERRIBLE hotel (frankly I think they are all terrible) so I do feel your pain. I hope you can work this all out.

Look in to The Hampton Inn in Jericho, shuttles are included

I am so sorry about this. This happened at our hotel as well. They gave away some of our rooms. Luckily I had it written down in a contract and they ended up opening more rooms up for our block.

I don't think its uncommon but terribly upsetting nonetheless.

It was my fault for not getting it in writing, however I called back that week to confirm with the front desk and the rooms were there and now they are gone
