I already blocked rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn Westbury but now I'm thinking of blocking rooms at the Roslyn Claremont hotel for us and the wedding party and maybe having a brunch there the next morning. Is that weird to block rooms at 2 hotels? We have a lot of OOT guests coming.

Re: Rooms blocked at 2 hotels???
its not strange, I had a friend that did that. She wanted to be separated from her guest since most of them were OOT.
Would you want to host your OOT guests to a farewell brunch?

people do it all the time. I seen in some cases because of the cost.

Not weird, we did 3 so people had price/ammenity options. I also think a brunh is a very nice idea.

Re: Rooms blocked at 2 hotels???
it's not weird but normally you have one main hotel and then a cheaper option(s) hotel. It's going to be hard for your guests staying in wesbtury to get to the hotel in roslyn for a brunch the next morning

Hello wedding date twin. I haven't begun to look at hotels. How much are rooms going for? How many do you have to block in order to get a discount?

We did 2, one with a free shuttle and a little cheaper, and one really nice place. If you know you will have a lot of guests, then you can't go wrong!

Re: Rooms blocked at 2 hotels???
We are going to do 2, one is going to be at a swnaky hotel where I hope and pray I can get a good rate and the other will be at a normal hotel-I think the 4 Points Sheraton-which will be more affordable and very close to the reception.

Re: Rooms blocked at 2 hotels???
We have rooms at 2 hotels b/c 1 hotel couldn't give us enough rooms (too many OOT!). We are doing a day-after brunch at the hotel we're staying at (along with 20 other rooms full of people), and we have 40 rooms at the other hotel, but the hotels are across the street from each other basically so it shouldn't be a problem.
I think it's fine!

Re: Rooms blocked at 2 hotels???
I was going to block two hotels as well - The Andrew in Great Neck and The Executive Inn in Woodbury - but decided to only go with The Executive Inn. Since we have a lot of OOT guests, the logistics of two hotels was becoming too much.
FH and I will be staying at the Inn at Fox Hollow.
