Re: rosie o' donnell

i have watched the view ever since it began, and when rosie came on I could tell the tension between her and elizabeth was mounting...as soon as they mentioned iraq you could see how heated they would get..i was never a fan of elizabeth and i think putting rosie on there wasnt the smartest thing mrs. walter did, but I LOVE the CATFIGHT!!!!!

It looks like Rosie won't be coming back to the view to finish off at this point.

I was so glad Elizabeth stood up for herself. Rosie was outright bullying her and not giving her a chance to speak her mind.

As for what Alicia Silverstone did--doesn't matter whether or not you like the person and agree/disagree with them...you made this commitment to come on to a show knowing full well they are one of the hosts. You shoud then give them the proper respect. That was plain rude.

I completely agree, just because you have different views from someone doesn't mean you act like that, she acted like she was in HS or something. You are an adult, again a public figure so conduct yourself with some respect.

See this is the problem with so many people and organizations who try to get a point across but the way they go about it makes them look real bad and the message is lost within the act.

Just like PETA-are they standing up for something important and is it a good cause-yes of course, but their actions turns alot of people off, and nobody is actually sitting there listening to their views when they act like this but criticizing them. Its sad too bc its a reflection of all PETA members and they're not all like that and they're giving everyone a bad name.

when you get extreme like that nobody cares what you are saying

She was acting like a child and Elizabeth even hinted at her childish behavior.

Taking extreme actions to get your point across does not necessarily work--all it accomplishes is alienating people.

Speaking of PETA--I once worked at a Genovese (now Eckerd) and they had it in their heads to sell fish one year. Well, the fish man would come every other day to feed them (because we weren't supposed to do it) and sometimes he would forget and some of the fish would die. Since the store was huge, we didn't always notice right away. Some lady came in once and saw it and complained and said she was from PETA and came back and started putting up signs in the store and trying to steal all the bowls of fish. It was insane! Was it even necessary???

OMG what a crazy lady lol. I remember when PETA set up a booth in astoria by this major boulevard and by the train stop so there were always alot of people passing by. I was standing right by the table, think i was waiting for someone or something, well this this older lady walks by wearing a fur coat, i would say she was in her 60's and the women goes crazy screaming 'SL*T-YOU WH*RE and wouldn't stop, omg you had to see this poor old lady i felt horrible. Oh yeah and the PETA lady had leather shoes on, i guess cows are not animals...That was like corey feldman telling the 90210 girl about eating meat meanwhile she is like uhmmm but you wear leather shoes for fashion statements

Every time I watched them I would think if I was on this show I wouldn't even say anything because it isn't worth it. Politics are the worse thing to talk about with people. You are guarantee to have a fight.

See I'll debate about politics, religion or anything with anybody, i have no problem doing it. I understand people will have a different opinion and yes during the debate it can get heated but i wont hold it against the person and right after i can go right back to just being friendly with the person as if nothing happened. FH and i disagree about a couple of things when it comes to politics, we can have a heated discussion about it and right after i can sit there kissing him, hugging him as if nothing happened.

I actually like debating, but there is a way to handle things

I like political debates too and it happens often around my house and some friends, but like you, in the end we leave where it is and go back about as if nothing happened.

It is totally the way you handle things. At this point though, it almost looks as if Rosie was aiming to pick on somebody and start trouble.

I agree Denise. My family always gets into a heated discussion. Half is on one side and half on the other. It can be fun sometimes...lol And then we eat our italian food after and go on to other conversations as if it never happened.

oh man...fhs family discusses it often and they get angry with eachother! i just drink wine haha

its so uncomfortable. and its like all the time.

That would be uncomfortable for me also..lol We don't get that angry. Just heated and I just love how we act like it never happened after..lol That is an italian family for you. I love it.

what is wrong with rosie, she couldn't ask elizabeth that in private?

And good for elizabeth, i think she did a great job of sticking up for herself. I love what she said to rosie about you are an adult and you defend your own actions im not going to do it for you

I couldn't believe she did that to her on the air. Espically if rosie says that elisabeth is her friend and all....friends won't do that. I am glad elisabeth stuck up for herself and went back at rosie!

OMG--that poor old lady! That was totally unncessary! I try to stay away from the PETA people--they are crazy...you never know what they'll do...I don't want to be some casualty because I'm wearing leather shoes.

I think Rosie's mission now is to just prove Elizabeth wrong every chance she gets

I agree. There is a way to handle things. But if you don't agree with Rosie forget it. She will tear you apart. She thinks she is the only one who is right and what she believes is the only way. I think everyone should have their own opinion and are entitled to it. I would never be mad at someone for believing something that doesn't agree with me, but Rosie will go crazy if you don't. Her way is the only way.

guess the view should've stuck with Star...I know there are alot of people who don't like her but I did. MY FH said he hates star bc she bashes men(he's never watched the show ) meanwhile it was the opposite so many times when they were bashing men she was like hey its the womens fault she let him do that so she is to blame and just alot of instances like that. Plus she would state her feelings but not sit there and put you down for thinking differently and going off. Regardless of whether I agreed with star, i think she handled herself very well all the time.

Yes--I think so too.

And what about that nonsense about Donald Trump making a statement supporting Rosie??? Who told him to put his two sense in?!? Him and Rosie deserve each other!

Yeah she would say it was the womens fault. I started to not like her towards the end of the show. But she looks great. They showed a picture of her this season and I was like omg.

I think alot of people started getting annoyed with Star when she got engaged and was planning her wedding. I read alot of things stating this. They said she was constantly talking about her wedding, which hmmm i think alot of us can understand lol.

Maybe he did get mad that Elizabeth called him obnoxious because he called her the dumbest person on tv!

He's just mad because NBC cancelled his show and now has nothing better to do!

i think rosie needs to get over herself.
