Hey Roylton Ladies!
I always hear people talk about going to a showcase at their RH. Does anyone know if the Royalton ever does anything like this? I would like to go! Any excuse to go there! We are going this Sun to make a payment!

Bumping for my question. i know the royalton thread gets lost sometimes.

I have never heard of one. I don't think they need it with such an impecable name (sp?).

Usually the larger catering mills do the showcases. I found the same thing about bands. The better the band the less likely to see them showcase.

Hi ladies,

I hope you don't mind a Crescent Beach Club bride crashing your thread.

My sister's wedding was at the Royalton this weekend and I thought I'd post a mini review in case it helps any of you with your planning.

The day of, everything was perfect. They had the staff waiting outside when the limos pulled up to help us get our things out of the trunk and into the bridal suite. They had some sandwiches, fruit and beverages waiting in the bridal suite, which was great as we were all starving! Shortly after we arrived, they brought up chicken fingers and fries. Yum!

Leslie's bridal attendant (Ashley) was fantastic. I think Leslie wanted to bring Ashley home with her! Ashley was always on hand when she was needed and could not have been more nice and helpful all evening.

I didn't get to try all of the food at the CH, but what I did try was great. All of the guests enjoyed the CH food, as well. They did bring the CH food up to the bridal suite, but I was helping Ashley with Leslie's bustle, etc. and didn't get a chance to taste everything.

The reception, itself, was fantastic. The wait staff took everyone's orders efficiently and the dinner service was great. Everyone enjoyed their meals and some people took seconds to try other entrees.

Everything went smoothly, and Leslie had a great day.

The only gripe that we had during the planning involved the vendor waiver fee for the florist. We were originally quoted one price, but then it was increased by $500. It was still less expensive to pay the fee and choose a different florist, but I felt they should have honored the original price they quoted. To make amends, they did add additional items to the farewell table.

All in all, though, it was a fantastic wedding.

ETA: I forgot to mention that they had all of the decorations, etc. that we brought packed up and ready to go at the end of the night. They also gave us a lot of the left over cocktail hour food and some of the left over cakes from the Viennese Hour. I've been enjoying these left overs for the rest of the weekend, and will hold the Royalton's chef personally responsible if I am unable to fit into my dress for my own wedding. :) j/k

There were approx. 150 guests, which looked like a good number for the room. The tables weren't crammed on top of each other, but the room didn't look empty either. Also, everyone fit comfortably on the dance floor.
