rsvp insert question: are you supposed to include the line ' __number attending'?

On the rsvp card, I have two lines, one that says accepts with pleasure and the other says declines with reget.

then it occurred to me, am i supposed to include a line for ' ___number attending'

not all guests were were invited with a guest. and some members are allowed to bring children while others are not.
i guess the number attending line will let me know if they plan to bring their kids or not but i also don't want people that were not invited with a guest to think they can by accounting for them..

who did or did not include a number attending line?

what do you think?

I added the how many persons attending line for the exact reason that you are thinking. I think it is a good idea !

I'm not putting the line in about # attending- b/c people try to add someone that wasn't invited (a date, children)
Why stress worrying about calling them to say no- you can't bring that person.

I put # attending on my RSVP cards - we'll see how it works out I guess.

I put # attending - we have a big guest list. some couples, singles, and families - so I think it makes it easier for us. I addressed the envelope to exactly who was invites. if it was one person, then no & guest, and for kids I put and family.
But you know people will do as they feel when responsing anyway.
