RSVP Postcard or Card w/ Mini Envelope

Hi 2012ers!

When doing your invitations, would you recommend having a RSPV postcard or card with an envelope?

We did a card with envelope. I just liked the idea of the cards more-I don't think there is anything wrong with a postcard though.

For me we are using card with envelope, some people might not be comfortable having their names out.

Card with an envelope... it's been fun to open them and see responses. It also allows people to include a check if they want to send something extra along!

I did the RSVP postcards...I wanted a way to try and stay 'green' and my guests have said that it was a very cute idea, something they haven't seen before

Keep in mind you should label your RSVPs with a number that matches to who it was sent to. . If this is something new to you..a lot of brides do this bc a lot of people don't write out their RSVPsthey just write the number so you don't know who it came from..so this might be better to do cards with envelopes so you can write it tiny in the back or inside the card :)

I really wanted to do a postcard since it would be cheaper than a card and envelope, but my FH vetoed that idea cause he hated that anyone could read it. That's despite my pointing out to him that the only people who would see it would be the postman, and that most people don't write things on response cards, other than whether or not they are coming!

Either will do.
Obviously postage is slightly cheaper with postcards and they can be cute too if you have a nice picture or design or whatever.

cards with envelopes is what we did as it was just easier for us design-wise. a lot of the envelopes got wrecked in the mail so the cards were protected - especially with that funky bar code that goes on the envelopes too from the post office.
