RSVP process - frustrating

RSVP process - frustrating

Is anyone else finding themselves getting annoyed or disappointed in people during the whole RSVP process? For instance, my FH works in a very small office and invited his boss and wife. His boss never said a word to him about getting the invite and he just rsvp'd NO. It's fine if they can't come, but I feel like it's a slap in the face to not even acknowledge the invite (let alone not send a gift). I feel like people really show their true colors during this process and it's frustrating.

same here - I know this will probably be a big headache when the time comes.

My friend (co-worker) who was married last year invited her former boss here at the company and she never sent back the RSVP card. I was one of the BMs and I asked her if she wanted me to say something to her and she was like 'No I'll call'. Then, seriously, a week after the RSVP my friend finally calls her and the b!tch said 'No' Seriously, what was so hard about sending back your response on time, especially when it's pre-stamped and ready to go? Is it so hard to check off 'No' and slip in the mail? I hate some people!

RSVP's are a gigantic headache. People wait until the very last minute to respond, if they even respond. Of course there are also the people who call when they receive the invite to complain about something. (we got a phone call from my moms cousin, asking why her 5 year old brat wasn't invited )

people dont get that. I have friends not coming b/c they dont want to leave their kids. I even invited a friend (in passing...I never sent the invite) and I said that it's for adults only and she kind of made a comment back to me like 'No kids??? I cant wait to see you as a mom!' What does that mean??? People are so annoying. lol.

Ehh i don't even want to think about it. people that you thought would come for sure don't come, and the people that you didn't expect to come do !

I am a little frustrated with the RSVPs as well. FH's side of the family has not even said anything, i.e. they received it nothing....I acutally didn't expect anything less from them considering NONE of them called my mother to RSVP to my shower. They didn't even call FH's mother. RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!!! That is what I have to say for people on FH's side.

I have to say the worst part that I found of the RSVP process was since our wedding reception is this sat (day before easter) apparently some guests didnt check the calendar before they RSVP'd! So those from out of state immediately RSVP'd yes. Great! UNTIL the week before the wedding i talk to them to make sure they are set to come up and I get 'welll i dont know now bc airfare is really expensive and they or their date may not be able to get the time off from work' Its like you had the invitations in your hand in Jan why didnt you look at the calendar then and book your flight then?? So we had 2 really last minute cancellations due to this.

we had a LOT of surprise no's- still never got a real reason, and even some who didn'tshow up the day of and we never got a card, phone call, email, nothing. People really amazed us, in a bad way.

In RSVP hell myself. We're still waiting for 12 RSVPs wtih Thurs as a deadline. We're surprised at some NOs. My Boss was a NO, but she sent an additional card with a generous gift. That was really nice.

My co-worker is getting married the same day as us and is waiting on 170 RSVPs (Yikes).... she invited like 250 ppl with guests.

I haven't dealt with the wedding RSVP situation but my engagement party was a mini wedding (111 people). I had to beg some people for the RSVP cards back. I refused to take a oral RSVP, I did send you an invitation, with a RSVP card and stamp on the envelope to send it back to me.

I literally had to wait until the day of and after to get certain RSVP's back and the funny part is, the people who were so late responding said NO, I have a 'prior engagement.' REALLY??? And you just found out NOW? Give me a break. Wait until it's their time. MoHahahahahahahhaa.

Yes...I thought that I'd send out the invites and all these RSVP's would come flooding in, but that has not been the case. We had one surprise no so far and it's just been no fun at all
