Re: RSVP - Reply Envelope Question

I listed just my name on the envelope even though hubby's name, our parents' names, and my name were on the invite. No one commented. If you're concerned about appearances, you could just put your address on the response envelope and no name.

Thats a tough one..I voted for your parents...however..I think it would be fine if you put ur name on it instead..

How about putting noones names on it and just putting your address. That way noone gets offended!

i'm wording mine the same way and everyone's paying for it (Me fh fil and my parents).i'm probaby just going to have my name on the reply envelope. i feel like putting both Joseph Groom and Tricia Bride would be too wordy. although now that i'm looking at it i like it. so i may change it to both my fh's name and my name.

im in the same boat. both parents are paying but the rsvps are coming to our apartment. i was actually printing the envelopes last night and asked FH if he wanted both our names on it or just mine. and he said he would like it if both our names were on it...so thats what i did. ask your FH if he wants his name on it or not. if he doesnt care i would put just yours.

Re: RSVP - Reply Envelope Question

I've noticed that it seems to be the brides name only on the response cards I have gotten recently for weddings. If FH feels strongly about his name being on it though include his as well

Either way I don't think the parents names need to be there

I have received three invites this week for weddings and all of them are 'hosted' by the parents of both and all three response cards are just the brides name.

What about putting yours and FH's last names? I will have the same situation.

I did just my name, I have seen it with both bride and groom though. I guess you can do it however you want to.

I did both of our names since we live together & we're both paying for it.....as long as FH waits for me to open them I didn't care whose name was on it lol

Re: RSVP - Reply Envelope Question

thanks gals
i have to ask FH
i think im going to go with both our names.
i realized that i prob shouldnt do our parents names cause we live in a coop and we have upstairs neighbors but dont use apartment numbers - the mailman just knows who is who. but if i started putting other peoples names i would prob have to put the apartment # on it too so that would just confuse the mailman
anyway so its down to either just me, or me and FH so heres a bump for this evening TIA!

Re: RSVP - Reply Envelope Question

Traditionally they go back to the bride's parents if they are paying.

But if they are going to your house, they should go to you. FH's name doesn't need to be on the envelope.

I think there's potential for a problem with the post office if you have your address with your parents' name, not worth risking that in my opinion.

I just put my name even though we live together......all our guests know I'll be the one working on the seating chart anyway

Re: RSVP - Reply Envelope Question

I just put my own name on the reply envelope. I figured as long as one name was on there that would be enough.
