Now that my wedding is over, I wonder how these same people would feel if I 'forgot' or just 'disregarded' sending a thank you note for their gift.....and waited until they called me to make sure I actually got it and I said:
'Oh Yea.......will you just put me down as having said thank you? You're being a nut about this thank you card thing.'

HAHAHAHA I love it !!! So friggin' true too !

I agree!

People are quite inconsiderate about it. There is a reason why you numbered and stamped those things. Even if they are telling you in person, they still should send it back.

One of my co-workers tried to hand me her response card...I told her to put it in the mail!!!

So far the only people who've RSVP'd have been our parent's friends. Our friends need to get on the ball and send in the cards!!

I know!! Until you go through it, you have no idea how hard it is I think. And time fades that awareness away. So rude!

It just seems so odd to me that people think that it's okay to do that!!! I couldn't imagine doing that to anyone. Personally I enjoy filling out response cards

On a similar note, I had several people inquiring about the date / time / place of the wedding becuase they have really busy lives or are OOT'ers.... so after 10 of those calls, I sent out the invitations early. Problem solved, right?

Well, I spoke to one of my aunts last night and she complained that I sent the invitations out too early! (She and my uncle are relatively local, and are retired with an open schedule.)

what's so inconvenient about receiving an invitation a month early???

She also complained that I addressed the invitation with both my uncle and aunt's full name, rather than 'Mr. and Mrs. Mark Smith'

I actually was forced to explain why I addressed the invitations as I did, and why I had to send them out early! Why does she care about this cr@p anyway???????
vent over.....
