I'm considering using this wording only because the room we have in our RH has a strict 130-140 people capacity (140 assuming will be tight already) We have about 150 people on our list.
The courtesy of your reply is requested by the 4th of September
We have reserved____ seat(s) in your honour
Name of Guest(s)___________________
_____ Graciously Accepts
_____ Regretfully Declines
Let me know what you guys think!

Re: RSVP Wording
i struggled with this too - for the same reasons. we figured the best thing would to have ppl fill in their party number, so that there is no confusion. this is what we ended up doing:
we have reserved __ seat(s) in your honour
m______________________
__ accept(s) with pleasure ___ number in party ___ decline(s) with regret
the favour of a reply is requested by friday, oct 26th.

Dont you think that if you leave it up to the guest to fill in the number in party, they might add an extra person or two? I could be wrong but it's something to think about

Happy Friday Ladies!
What do you think of this RSVP format:

This is good as long as you fill in the reserved seats in you honor part. IMHO

No matter what you do someone will try to add a person.

Re: RSVP Wording
i think if you put down we have resevered ____ seats for you and then under accepts you can put ______ number attending then there shouldn't be any trouble with people trying to add more. you are already telling them how many seats they are allowed to occupy

that was my understanding too. and we figured if anyone tried to sneak in another person after all that - then we'd have to settle it the old fashioned way - picking up the phone and calling them!!!!
but in the reverse scenerio too - what if a person you invited with a guest decides to attend solo - there wouldnt be any other way we'd know that for sure.

Do this!!! I saw this after I sent mine out and man o man do I wish I did. 99% of the people we invited as singles RSVP'd with a guest...which meant a ton of uncomfortable convos. Put that there so there is no confusion!

that's why under accepts you have ______ number attending. This way say you invite a family of 5 you say you have 5 seats reserved for them but if only 2 are coming they can just fill it in on that line

I totally agree!!! You have to try and limit them, or else the whole neighborhood might want to attend

Re: RSVP Wording
Yes, I'm definitely filling in the no of seat(s) part. Hopefully this would be a great hint to the people we're inviting. LOL thanks so much for all your input ladies!

Wow I didn't know this! So you actually pre-fill in the number of seats you have available and they just fill in their names and number of seats they are taking?
Ok, I've always thought the line next to accepts/declines was to just put a check mark... not an actual number.
Thanks.
