RSVPS

I ended up having to take a bigger room because of FIL's tremendous guest list. I realize RSVPs have only just started, but I've already gotten weird 'no's' from FIL's people. One said 'the invite was sent to them in error' and someone else said they can't make it because they are 'sick.' And apparently, most of the 30 ppl or so that FMIL invited from work can't come. In reality, I don't care because (1) I don't know these people from a hole in the wall and (2) this is making FMIL look like a moron and she deserves it.

BUT....


With all of the no's she's received verbally, I have a feeling we won't meet our 150 minimum. Which I might add, we wouldn't have had if we didn't take the bigger room because of FILs. FMIL actually said to me tonight that she needs to invite the kids of some people she invited so they'll come. 'we need more people.'

I didn't want my wedding to be like this....I could have been in the room I really liked and wouldn't have this worry on my mind....

I should also add that we were having a child-free wedding, which I was happy about (no offense to those with small kids at their wedding.) But now there will be small kids who have the potential to start crying in the middle of my ceremony! Then again, maybe all of those people will say no, too....

OMG... that's terrible. I hope she's at the VERY least PAYING for all these extra people. She should feel like sh!t for upsetting the apple cart like this! I hope it all works out for you!!!

im sorry.....dont you hate when ppl think your wedding is some concert that your trying to fill the seats of? dont worry it will all work out....do you have a b list of your own?

My list was so small that i didn't need a b list. My father has barely any friends (i'm being honest, not mean) so he didn't need a b list either.

Yeah, the 'this was sent in error' had me cracking up. I got that response on Saturday and I'm still talking about it. I'm mean....

If things continue the way they do it's going to be bad. FILs have three people that said yes so far and eight that said no. And those are the response I have, they have verbal nos from others.....

Someone is already planning on being sick!??? One invite was sent in error! Oh lordy.. what do we have to look foward to!
