I had originally thought that when I do my e-party invites, I would include an RSVP card. After speaking to a friend, she mentioned that because it's an e-party, it doesn't need to be that formal. I can just include the phone numbers for them to RSVP to me or to my FH family. What should I do?

I think telephone RSVP would be sufficient. Your friend is right. unless your e-party is a formal function.

I'm having it at a catering hall in Astoria....with a cocktail hour/sit-down dinner/open bar/dj, etc...... I know it's more formal than a backyard party, but am now questioning if it would justify an RSVP card
ETA: My avatar pic is the room I will be having the party in!

Save yourself the joyous stress of waiting for rsvp cards til the wedding. Just do phone rsvp, it'll save a lot of headaches!!

I just had my engagement party last friday and I had the guest RSVP to me even though my parents paid for it.. it worked out fine

On my e-party invites I plan to use a phone number to RSVP. I'm also thinking about adding an email address that's just set up for RSVPs, not sure yet.

I would say call-this way people will be able to ask where you are registered and/or whoever is taking the RSVPs can inform them

I made my invites...so making more cards would have been a pain..I think the calling was much easier!!
