i am assuming we all have/or will have waited until after our RSVP date to get all of our responses.....how long after your RSVP date did it take to get a final count? when did you start making phone calls? my RSVP date is this Saturday, did a lot of your responses come in the last week? we don't have many responses - right now i have 68 yes and i think 6 no....we are waiting on A LOT of responses....

I started making phone calls/sending emails 3 days after my RSVP date. We had about 20 outstanding responses. Some people verbally told my parents and never sent in their card... and STILL never showed up!

I've had a few of those also. I'm not counting them until i actually get a card though (or they speak to ME personally), because i feel like people just say they're coming to be polite, but don't really mean it.
My RSVP date is also this Saturday and i'm missing more than half. I'm gonna start calling people within that week to see what's up.

I think you should def. start makeing call the week after your RSVP's are due. Some people think the RSVP date is the mail date so a few days after is good to start calling. I know that's what I'll be doing.

i wouldnt worry about the numbers yet. a lot of mine came in the week of the rsvp date...people were sloooow.
im only waiting on 23 sets of people/couples (my rsvp date was sunday)...and some i know were put in the mail on sat cuz they told me (ha) so im thinking people were thinking they had until sunday to drop it off at the post office.
im expecting to have contacted/received an answer from everyone by friday (im thinking ill wait til tues/wed before putting them on the call list).

mine were very slow coming in also & wound up calling the people on FH side. Atleast it's done....even if we are under our minimum by about 5-6 people.

My date was last Monday and we are still waiting on 39 responses. Out of those, about 17 have told me theyre coming but it's still annoying to do the chart and stuff without the actual response card. Im starting to call ppl this week.

I don't know what people are waiting for - and its annoying knowing you wasted postage, its like why did I bother to order RSVP cards, envelopes and stamps I have a co-worker who keeps bugging me - he says, you know I am coming do I seriously have to mail it? I'm like YESSSS!!!

I am having the same issue. My rsvp date is 10 days away but I still have most of my responses oustanding. I actually started to get really depressed about it the last few days since we didn't get any. I am really worried about meeting my min in this ecomomy so it's not helping that people just can't seem to get their act together.

LOL i kno!!!!!! I have people TEXTINGme to tell me they are coming. Im like, JUST MAIL THE ENVELOPE!!!! I seriously don't get it. You can't respond to an event like that! And the funny thing is, the ppl doing it are some of the closest ppl to us. They think they dont have to send it back b/c 'we know theyre coming'.

I'm with you. We are most likely going to be just under minimum, which is 120, and I invited 174! I NEVER thought we'd have this problem. I was totally expecting to be way over. Not a terrible problem to have but i def think the economy has a lot to do with it.

i feel you on that - i think we are going to be under - i didnt want a huge wedding, i wanted something intimate but we paid for A LOT of people already - we tried to invite just enough people to get to that minimum but now i am thinking we may have cut the list down to much our minimum is 175 but we only invited 214 - im hoping we get to at least 150 but as the rsvp date gets closer i get more and more nervous that we'll have even less people than that....i have no idea what to expect, i think part of it is beause our wedding is in LI and a lot of people have to travel and stay overnight and can't afford it now...

my rsvp date isn't until Nov 10th but I have a feeling I am going to be calling ALOT of people.
It stinks why can't you just write yes or no on the rsvp card and put it in your mailbox outside your house!!! you don't even have to go anywhere!!!!!!!
but i only have about 70 yes' and about 10 no's out of 230 people invited and I am surprised alot more people didn't respond yet....like people I thought would have already sent it in
