Is anyone doing their RSVPs the non traditional way by having your guests RSVP on your wedding site? I think I am going to do that and add my wedding site info on to my RSVP card and have people just do everything online. I feel like its so much easier ---especially for me with law school and everything. Anyone else doing this?

I personally feel this is an etiquette no-no and takes away from the formality and seriousness of the occasion. Sorry, jmo...

thanks! I personally dont agree that it takes the seriousness from the event its just less formal. I feel like we are all about technology now so this would be kind of new. Plus most of my guests are young and I think they would all like this better.

While I don't think that it takes away from the event in any way, it's still one of those gray areas...mostly due to some guests not being able to RSVP in that manner.
If you're DIY'ing your invites, then it makes it a bit easier. RSVP web info would be printed on the bulk of them (since you said that you think most of your guests will RSVP that way) and then put traditional RSVP cards and envelopes in with invites going to people who you know do not have a computer.

I was thinking of doing this too, and was going to post about it!!!! I have a wedding website and there is an RSVP section so that was the first time I had thought about it.
I think that it will make RSVPing easier for a lot of people who keep putting off filling it in and dropping in the mailbox... besides like you said people are into computers more and more and might like the idea!

I actually like this idea. My only concern are those guests who don't have computers. I think it really depends on who you are inviting. I love how they could select their meal. That's awesome.
By the way, where do you go to school? There's quite a few law students here!

Re: RSVPs Non traditional way
Most if not all of my guests are pretty computer savy so i dont think there will be an issue there.

Re: RSVPs Non traditional way
I think to each their own. If you want to do RSVP's via your website then go for. I personally plan on following etiquette and tradition and plan on including RSVP cards in my invitations.
