Rudeness

Okay so here's a quick story. One of the girls I work with is getting married. She just got engaged and she was asking me if I had any advice on how to keep costs down, if I had any magazines etc that she can have. Since Im pretty much done I figured what the heck, Im only going to toss it anyways.
Well, my friend calls me yesterday and says Your giving Jessica some wedding mags and stuff I said yeah why. Oh, Jessica is quite new and she doesnt know that me and Charlotte are close friends. WELL, she tells Charlotte shes not going to follow any advice or look at anything I send her because Im from LONG ISLAND and long Island weddings are,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,READY FOR THIS????
She said Long Island Weddings are all ghetto and cheap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ARE YOU FLIPPEN KIDDING ME???????????????
i want to smack this girl in the head.

This is crazy!!! My FH is from Jersey and I had to tell his parents what to expect because they've never been to a wedding this big! This girl is crazy! I would not give her the magazines and then when she asks for them tell her you didn't want to bother her with ghetto wedding stuff.

Can we all have a slap fest, or at least hope that she gains 50 pounds and doesn't fit into her dress on her wedding day.

All kidding aside, let her think what she wants. It was kind of you to offer her your wedding stuff, but what a nasty backhanded comment she made. Hopefully you will have an opportunity in the future to tell her, in a snotty way of course, that LI Weddings are not ghetto, nor are they cheap. Tell her also to make sure she keeps her a$$ off of Long Island. There are parts of Jersey that are still stuck in the 90's !

she is a c*nt and VERY misinformed. My FH & I DJ weddings in NJ all the time.... and none of them really blew me away.. in fact last night we were trying to figure out what to tip everyone and he said 'ill call so & so & so & so'

friends from jersey (where he is from) and i was like uhhhhhhhhh, no.

no disrespect to ANYONE on here from jersey b/c youre still on HERE so you must have the same tastes as we do. and trust me... i know not everyone in LI has class either.

but LI & NY weddings are (for the most part) fabulous

I would confront her and embarrass her.
I'd even ask for the magazines back and tell her I would rather give them to someone who would APPRECIATE my ghettoness...

Did you give her the magazines yet? If not just say you forgot, tell her you forgot everytime she asks you. Don't confront her just ignore her. If she works with you, icy is the best policy, saves office ********!

If either you or her ever leave the co, then you can SLAP her!!!!!

Um, yeah. Considering a lot of LI weddings cost more than what a large majority of Americans make for their annual income, I think she has her facts screwy.
