Okay so here's a quick story. One of the girls I work with is getting married. She just got engaged and she was asking me if I had any advice on how to keep costs down, if I had any magazines etc that she can have. Since Im pretty much done I figured what the heck, Im only going to toss it anyways.
Well, my friend calls me yesterday and says Your giving Jessica some wedding mags and stuff I said yeah why. Oh, Jessica is quite new and she doesnt know that me and Charlotte are close friends. WELL, she tells Charlotte shes not going to follow any advice or look at anything I send her because Im from LONG ISLAND and long Island weddings are,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,READY FOR THIS????
She said Long Island Weddings are all ghetto and cheap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ARE YOU FLIPPEN KIDDING ME???????????????

everyone does what they can do. i think everyone can agree (unless it is on someone's else's tab), weddings are a huge financial OUCH. i don't think anyone wants to consider their wedding ghetto or cheap.

09 Crasher here...sorry i just had to respond to this one...

she definitely doesn't know what she is talking about b/c I looked at halls all over (LI, NYC, Brooklyn, Queens, and NJ) and nothing compared to the halls in LI. In my opinion the RHs in LI were far more beautiful than any others I saw.

So you can have the last laugh b/c your wedding will be so much more beautiful than hers!

How freakin' rude! Not only is it quite immature to be speaking that way behind your back, but that's quite a generalization to make. I just don't get why anyone feels the need to insult anyone else's wedding.

everything on LI is the exact opposite- more friggin $$$! so she clearly is dillusional...

but as far as NJ weddings, Ive been to a few, and they were actually AMAZING weddings. The RH were absolutely stunning, on gorgeous grounds, and the food was inpeccable!

Oh, I see NJ-and seriously, I was more offended that she actually did that sneakily, and not so much because what she said, because she is obviously an ignorant a$$-whether a wedding is cheap or expensive doesn't matter-its the sentimental value! And there are lovely weddings and not so lovely weddings no matter where you go!

I agree with an above poster, ask her back for one of the magazines, and say-Can I just see the LI magazine, because I was hoping to get a picture of a ghetto flower arrangement! This is why I can't stand girls! So friggin catty! Why can't people just keep their stupid opinions to themselves? And these people wonder why no one likes them or tells them anything!
