Rue La La rant NWR

Rue La La rant NWR

Somebody posted the Kate Spade sale at rue la la last week and I was so excited, under the impression that they had my china at almost half the price! I knew other people who used the site and had no issues so, excitedly, my mother and myself went ahead and ordered it, as that's what she was getting me for my shower gift. Carefully reading the listing, which stated a 20 piece china set, 5 of each plate and teacups, and an image clearly showing the same thing, today I get my boxes all excited, only to find them very very light. And upon opening them, belle boulevard flatware.
Are you kidding me???
And the best part yet, they take returns for merchandise credit and they're denying that was the listing. I'm 1000000% sure it was the china. I already had the flatware, so I wouldn't go out and get another set, I haven't totally lost my marbles.
What am I supposed to do with almost a thousand dollars worth of credit and nothing else to use it on? Better yet, what is my mom supposed to do with it? Get some ugg boots or a tommy bahama watch? seriously.

Can you pretend it was a wedding gift and return it to where you are registered?? A credit to BBB or Bloomingdales is likely more useful than to some website.

I know I was able to return things that were not on my registry and I didn't have a receipt for. I was honest with the cashier and if they sold it and it was in saleable condition they would take it back for store credit.

If it was bought off your registry from BBB they will just look it up on the registry and see that it was bought there.

I just returned something over a year later......got store credit but I can always use a store credit from there.

BBB will take anything back as long as it was purchased off your registry or was on there to begin with! so if its still on your registry and shows no one bought the item, you can't return it, but if it was bought, then you can return! do you still have a copy o the original listing? can you e-mail them your invoice or something that shows that you purchased the china?

it just says 'belle boulevard 20pc'
i e-mailed their corporate and some girl got back to me and said 'oh, it MIGHT be a mistake'
it MIGHT be?
that's a huge mistake.
after 20 minutes of arguing, she has now agreed to credit the money back to mom's card if she can't get a hold of the china set that it was supposed to be.
they didn't even list the flatware.
there's no might be about it.
she also offered a $20 credit to my account if i decide to try them again, which won't be happening if they don't straighten this out.
I can understand an accidental shipment, I can't understand denying a refund for their slip up.
if all else fails, back to BBB they go!

i just wanted to update so it didn't discourage anyone from using the site if this post did at all.
a very sweet woman from corporate called me today from rue la la. it was a total goof on their end. they shipped this out to everyone. needless to day, i can get the extra set of flatware out of my hair and my cute china here by next week! yay!

I hate that website. DH worked for a company that worked with them for a short time and ended up quitting his job because of a project with rue la la. They're a really shoddy organization.

Sorry you're going through that. I hope they fix it for you ASAP!

so far, she's making right by me. she said i'd have the correct order in 7-10 days (they had to get it from lenox first) and in those packages, she'll get me the return labels so we can straighten it out. and she put like $30 in credit to my account because i was so mad and i was the first person to alert her of the problem. apparently they did this to a lot of people.
hopeless.
they're blaming lenox b/c they drop ship it directly or something.
i dunno.
whatever.
as long as i get the right thing, i don't care.

I've actually NEVER had a issue with Rue La La.
Could have been a computer error. It happens.
Or a people error. We're not perfect. :)

Glad they are doing right by you!

apparently, it was a massive lenox error.
hahahah.
they shipped everyone the flatware instead of the china.
the whole thing hurts my head
