RUSSO's ON THE BAY

Original post by BrokenBride

I am posting this information for all you Brides to be and anyone else who may be able to help.
I was supposed to get married on 7/25/03, with the reception to be at Russo's on the Bay. We are no longer getting married and if anyone knows someone who needs it - Russo's is available. If any of you are familiar with the place, you know how far in advance you need to book and how great it is. If the date goes unbooked, we lose the money we have given already. (it doesn't even have to be a wedding reception - any type of party)
Please let me know if anyone is interested. Feel free to ask me any questions.
Thanks in advance for you help.

Re: RUSSO's ON THE BAY

Sorry- I am not attacking anyone, I just thought he was kind of rude. Just my opinion- I am sure he is a nice guy. I am sorry for his situation- I guess I would be defensive, too.

R&T

What did he say that makes you think he is 'rude and nasty'. I'm just curious, bc I dont' see any rudeness or nastiness in any of his posts - just yours

T, realize that for those that don't know you, your forwardness can easily be interpreted as rude. Take it easy on this guy. He's understandibly sensitive right now. He deserves a break.

Re: RUSSO's ON THE BAY

I don't usually get involved in this kind of thing (I actually try and avoid it) but this is what I thought was rude.

Theresa-
since you are 'questioning' me - we have paid $10,000.00 total so far directly to Russo's, feel free to ask them yourself.

I thought that statement was kind of attacking- all she did was ask a question.
I guess everything is how you interpret it- just because one person thinks it is rude doesn't mean everyone does.

OH FOR THE LOVE OF MIKE! To quote Mary J. Blige: 'No More Drama.'

Sheesh. BrokenBride, I am sorry for your situation. Please do not take Theresa's post the wrong way- she is a Russo's Bride and was only asking a question. Relax....we are all very cool and casual here.

You might want to try posting to www.nycityweddings.com and www.ultimateweddings.com as well.

Best of luck to you.

Edited to say: The poor guy has just been through a lot so let's not pounce, okay, ladies?

Wow, this really isn't what this is about. Who cares who said what how, this guy has to cancel his wedding which was supposed to be 3 months from now, can we all give him a break?

Think about how you'd all feel...and let this sillyness go.

Sunny

I usually avoid it too, but I'm just fed up with some of the same type of challenging comments from certain people here. This time it was just so rude, I couldn't help myself.

Here is a person, in the midst of wedding cancellations, getting questioned about their motivations for posting here - I know its a free board, and everyone can have their say - let this guy have his say and show a little compassion. Like I said earlier, if you don't have something nice to say at a time like this, then don't say anything

Re: RUSSO's ON THE BAY

I never mentioned this was a popularity contest, I'm just tired of all your attention seeking comments and rudeness. Enough said - go ahead, add me to you list of people who don't like you.

Broken bride,
Sorry to hear about your cancelled wedding. I feel for you. As hard as it is right now, please remember that everything happens for the best. Maybe you can take a credit for the other 50% and sell it to a family member or friend for a future event. Russo's is a beautiful place with great service.
Good luck....

Re: RUSSO's ON THE BAY

I feel terrible for you, and send you to get through this diffucult time. I wish peace and understanding for you in the future, and apologize for the rude reception you received here. We (of all people) should all be sensitive to realize how devestating this must be for you, to cancel a wedding 3 months before the day. Best of luck, and I hope you can find someone to take your day.

Dubliner, I am LMAO
