RUSSO's ON THE BAY

Original post by BrokenBride

I am posting this information for all you Brides to be and anyone else who may be able to help.
I was supposed to get married on 7/25/03, with the reception to be at Russo's on the Bay. We are no longer getting married and if anyone knows someone who needs it - Russo's is available. If any of you are familiar with the place, you know how far in advance you need to book and how great it is. If the date goes unbooked, we lose the money we have given already. (it doesn't even have to be a wedding reception - any type of party)
Please let me know if anyone is interested. Feel free to ask me any questions.
Thanks in advance for you help.

Broken bride: I have said this on the newlyweds board, and I will say it again in light of what this post is becoming.

This is obviously a difficult time for you. I am sorry for what you are going through, I wish you all the best in getting someone to book this date, and in all your future endeavors.

Broken, I'm so sorry your plans turned out this way. It's so hard when dreams don't come true. I hope you can manage to get some of your money back. In the future, when you have truly met the right girl for you, you'll probably look back at this and see it as a blessing. Best wishes to you.

Sorry to hear your news. Especially the hefty payment. I hope someone can take your date and you get all your money back.

Brokenbride,
I am really sorry. But as someone else previously said, everyhting happens for a reason. I really hope that you are able to find someone to take the date or at least get back a good percentage of your money. I wish you the best.

Re: RUSSO's ON THE BAY

I just wanted to say that I have been through a called off wedding before (when I was 25) and it hurts like heck, but I PROMISE you that life does goes on and the 'real' person you are meant to be with will come into your life. I hope that you are able to see a bit of sunshine in everyday.

T- You know me. I am the first to tell you like it is. You were a tad rude to him, but then you got defensive because some of the girls pointed it out to you and you hate when that happens. I am not sure why people don't know you or how you like to handle things by now, but once you are publically 'attacked' you go full guns against the World. All you have to say is 'I didn't mean my comment to come out as it sounded. That is one of the many problems with writing and not speaking to each other. Sorry' and that would be that. So since I KNOW you didn't mean to attack or be rude to someone who is going through a very difficult time, since you are a caring and loving person, please just let him know that. As for striking back- that is your way of dealing with conflict. You can either learn to 'soften' your approach to these matters or not. That is a choice only you can make.

T - that's enough already. You don't have to go on anymore. Let it go and be mature about it. I'm sure you have a lot of positive/happy things to focus on for your wedding, rather than repeatedly responding in the same manner. Have a great day.
