Sad and frustrated!

Sad and frustrated!

Hey everyone..

Soooo RH searching isn't going very well....

We looked at CLM and didn't really fall in love and so on Sunday we went to look at Lawrence Beach Club- which was our first choice. It's a long story but to sum it all up they were horribly mean to us, made us feel unwelcome and I left there in tears. My MOH suggested Crest Hollow Country club and I was soo excited because it seemed to have everything I was looking for. I called my mom all excited and she immediately said I could not get married there because that's where she had her first wedding. Jericho Terrace, Lands End, and The Riviera are also out because friends of ours have either just gotten married there or are about to get married there this year. I just feel like I'm never going to find a place that is going to work and at this point I would settle for a pizza party in my back yard .

Does anyone have any suggestions- I am DESPERATE!!

Thanks!!!!

Is there a style of hall you are looking for? It looks like you wanted something on the water, did you look at Lombardi's on the sound? Not sure how many people you are looking to have, but I heard that Lombardi's on the Bay is gorgeous. I wanted to look there but unfortunately we were too big for the space.

I would like something on the water because we live right by the beach and it's a big part of our lives.

We're probably gonna have about 120, and are hoping to keep it under $90pp.

Isn't this planning this supposed to be fun? I just feel that it's going to cause way more problems than it's worth at this point and all I really want is to be married. Blahhhh :(

Re: Sad and frustrated!

what about venetian yacht club, allegra, thatched cottage, the cresent beach club, swan club, huntington harbor club? All of these are on the water. Do you want something on the water? something modern? Something vintage?

My second choices were Swan Club (because the price was outrageous!) and North Ritz Club (which was comparable to CHCC).

Also saw JT (more expensive) and Fox Hollow (just not my style) and Thatched Cottage (too expensive).

FM me for more info

The Inn at New Hyde Park is beautiful. They hold one wedding at a time. The ballroom holds up to 450 people. They do make you guarantee a large amount of guests; however, if you intend on having a large wedding, this shouldn't be a problem . The Royalton is amazing as well.
