Sad day today

I am spending my 2nd Valentine's Day in 3 years burying a grandmother. This was FI's grandmother who was a bit sick, but not expected to die now. She passed away Monday night from blood poisoning. We thank God that it was quick. This grandmother always wanted to look at my e-ring because she said it was a symbol of happiness and was very excited for our wedding. She said she didn't care how sick she was, she wanted to see us get married. It will be sad that she won't be with us in July, but I know she will be with us in spirit, at her husband's side.

I am so sorry for your loss, I lost my mom and dad and all my grandparents, I know what it is like to grieve. (((((Hugs)))))

I am so sorry for your loss. Valentines day and granparents have always been special to me -- they were the first to make me their valentine!

I just lost my g-ma and she was so special to me. I wish your hubby's family and you peace at this time of loss. She will definitely be there in spirit

Thank you again for all of the kind words. I just got home from her funeral and thankful that today is over because I knew it was going to be difficult. We have a celebration of her life tomorrow and my FMIL (who is the one whose mother died) said that she ordered assorted chocolate chip cookies for me and my FSIL. That was so nice of her to think of us in that way - she wants us to drown our sorrow in chocolate chip cookies! I will miss her but I'm glad that I knew her, especially when she was healthy, and she knew that I will soon be a member of her family.
