Sad news...

I wrote a post about my dog Sammy, the vet called this AM and he was bleeding very heavily last night and the blood work came back that he had cancer so they put him to sleep this AM
We didn't even get to go see him. They said they could keep him on pain meds but by the time we could all get home wouldn't be right he is in so much pain they were suprised he was able to get around at all.

I am so upset

Awww....Melissa I'm soooooo sorry...I'm going through the exact same thing right now. I have to go put my dog to sleep this afternoon. My prayers are with you and your family...

I put my cat down last November, so I know what you are feeling.

I don't agree with what the vet did, he should have allowed you to say your goodbyes, given you some time (not all day) to get to the office before they put Sammy to sleep. It is done humanely though, so Sammy would not have felt anything.

oh i am so so so sorry!! i have been there - you did the right thing.

I love dogs so much and it saddens me to see you two girls have to go through this.

I am so so sorry for your loss!!! Losing a dog is just as bad as losing a family member in my opinoin. They are always there for you whenenver you need them. I went through the same thing with my lab about a year and a half ago and I still miss her alot but it does get easier with time. Here are many hugs and prayers for you.

omg i feel like crying for you....i know my dog is like my baby so i am sure you must be hurting....that is so sad...but at least he isnt in pain anymore
