I just got off the phone with Liz. Her cousin died in a car accident by a drunk driver. His name was Jose Dorges and details regarding the accident will be in the NY Post tomorrow.

She asked me to let you girls know as she probably will not be posting this week.

Hi, I just popped in to say THANK YOU for all your thoughts and prayers. We are coping, altough it's extremely hard. My aunt is in very bad condition. But I will keep faith and praying to God that somehow He will comfort us through this tragedy.

I have many feelings of anger towards this jerk off Drunk Driver. I am enraged at the thought of my cousin against a tree b/c someone was so careless.
I am calling the DA either today or tomorrow to see what is going to be done abou this case. I want this jerk to get fried.

Reading all your post makes me feel much better and is giving me more strength, so thank you thank you thank you

Liz, you sound like a woman with a good head on her shoulders and a warm heart. I have no doubt both will get you and your family through this tough time.

A close friend of ours' sister was killed by a drunk driver, and I can certainly empathize with the feelings you are feeling right now. It was a devastating time for us all.

We are here for you if you need us.

UPDATE:
I found out the name and direct phone # of the Assistant DA who is handling the case. I left him a message on his voice mail. If he doesn't return my call by 4 pm, I will call again.

Thanks again everyone

We have an appt with the ADA tomorrow to discuss the case.
Also we hired 3 lawyers to help us with this ordeal. Hopefully the one we hired for the criminal part of it will be able to come with us tomorrow to the ADAs office.
I probably won't be able to say too much more about the case depending on what they tell me.

Liz I am a huge supporter of against drunk driving and you go get this jerk. I am so sorry for your loss, and I wish you and your family all the best.

LIz. I am so sorry to hear the news. I hhave tears in my eyes because I cant imagine how it must feel to loose someone so quickly and because someone is so careless. My heart aches for you. I will say a prayer for you Len and your family tonight.
