We just heard from our realtor that our bid was not accepted We are heartbroken. It was absolutely perfect and we were so excited about it....this is so frustrating.
Bummer... the Long Island market is so tough. Don't worry, you'll find another!

FI went through the same thing for nine months before he bought his co-op. Everything really does happen for a reason though believe me. He was devastated everytime a bid wasn't accepted, but don't worry it will happen !!!!

Thanks ladies......Everybody keeps telling me that it happened for a reason, so I guess I will just have to believe there is something better for us.

Did they come back with counter offer. Maybe you can offer a higher amount. Buying a house or condo is sooo difficult. We were actually in contract to buy a house and it fell through because seller was creating too many problems and we had to back out. We were really upset because we had been waiting so long to close. About a week later we went a little farther out east and found a much bigger home that doesn't really need anything. We are now going into contract.
I was sad at first but after we found the new one i felt relieved that we didn't buy that other house.
So hang in there, it can get hard.

Thank you so much for your support. I have to stop thinking about it and focus on what we are going to do now! The condo was actually in Norwalk, CT...FI lives in CT and I'm on LI, so we really wanted this place to finally be in the same state!! We'll keep trying
