Salad 'nuts'...

I think I have had 'pine' nuts on my salad...I know I had a salad with fresh cheese slices and small nuts ...anyone know? Are they called pine nuts?

Yup, pignolis and pine nuts are the same thing. They are great toasted in salads and in othe recipes too! I mix toasted pine nuts into baby spinach that I saute with garlic and a sprinkle of lemon juice. Yum yum! They can be expensive, though...

I JUST bought a HUGE container of them from Costco...I use them all the time for salads and of course, Pesto!

Yup, pignoli are pine nuts. I toast them and use them in a mixed green salad with gorgonzola crumbles, golden raisins, and a balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Yum!

I've used something very similar to this .. but think it's made by a different company .. anyway .. it's yummy .. I add it in to ground turkey sauteed in a skillet, then add pasta .. usually pastina.
