Same Price ---- Friday March or Thurs in May?

Hmmmm

Now that my FH and I are doing off-peak time - we cant decide on the following

Wedding in March on Friday night vs.
Wedding in May on Thursday night ( Thurs May 26 before Memorial)

same prices $ per person! ..................

Westbury Manor
Riveria
Chateau La Mer
Giorgio's @ FOX HILL ( exp Saturday night 11am - 5pm )
Swan Club
Bridgeview Yacht Club

Personally, I love the spring so I'd say go with the spring wedding. Plus, March will come around and if your wedding is in July, you'll be like 'I could've been getting married now!'

I agree that a Friday night is going to be easier for many than a Thursday night too.

I was thinking the same thing!!! I cant wait to be Mrs. G!!!!

What you should do is make a list of the things you want, and then go back and see who gives the most for the $$ ...

Extra's add up!!

Don't be afraid to negotiate!! Tell them all that you have the same price accross the board, what can they do, maybe you can get some extra's thrown in ...

I looked @ Westbury Manor, Riviera,Chateau La Mer and Bridgeview Yacht Club- all very nice places- But I would pick the Friday night in March. Weddings during the week are harder for people.

Although I agree w/most of the posters - having been a CLM bride - if you go for a warmer month like May you will have the yacht/boat arrival during your cocktail hour & let me tell you IT WAS AMAZING! Our guests are still talking about it! Not to mention being able to do an outdoor cocktail hour. So if you do choose CLM as your venue I would have to go against the majority & say go for end of May! If you send out your Save-the-Date's enough in advance ( we sent ours out in Jan for an Aug wedding) - you give your guests more time to plan their vacations at another date...JMHO...HTH!

If you are comfortable with a smaller wedding, and the no's will not hurt your feelings, maybe do the May. I have been to a few weddings that weekend and it was great. People would actually be able to still do their holiday weekend plans, and could maybe even get an early start by having the day after the wedding off.
Long island can be slushy in March, or rainy that weekend, so consider the weather.
if your priority is having a high rsvp rate, then I would go with the Friday.
I had more than half no's, and it bummed me out, so consider what your priorities are.
