My father passed away and so my older brother will be walking me down the aisle. Does he wear the same tux as the groomsman (they're wearing black tuxes with silver vests)? Or does he wear a basic black tux? Thanks!

it is really your choice - i think i am going to have fathers in the basic black - same tux just different vest- to differentiate -not that it isn't hard to tell - they will still have boutinere to show there special even at a black tie wedding

up to you of course. We had Dh in a black tux with ivory vest with a deep ivory tie . the GMs wore basic black with ivory shirt and black tie with red bouts. DH had a small star gazer which incorporated the ivory, red and pink I had in my bouquet. The father wore a black tux with silver so as to differntiate themselves. there are so many subtle ways that you can do it.. Good luck!

My brother wore the same as the GM, but he also was a GM...
One of our readers wore the same tux, but used a bow tie instead of a long tie. He was also my MIL's escort.

well i think that's really up to you but I have the same situation where my brother is walking me down. i left him decide what he wanted to do and he's going to wear a different tux
