My SC Girls!!!!!
I missed you (and all of my 2013 girls) so much.

Work has been crazy...I was doing 12 hour shifts, 6 days a week and coming home to eat and sleep...some ngihts I didnt even eat!

Then my grandfather, who was battling COPD for the passt 10 years was placed in a hospice and past away a week ago. Its been rough, but he is finally at peace.

Although work will be getting slightly crazy again in the next few weeks, I WILL BE BACK.

Must...Plan...Wedding!!!

I haven't been back to the SC in so long!!! I think a visit is needed!!

I booked Sand Castle last month and love love love it, we got 'that feeling' as soon as we walked in lol. I can't believe how much they offer, we had to sacrifice the time of year to fit within our budget, but I don't care it was a sacrifice I gladly made. (Just crossing my fingers that it doesn't blizzard!!)

So I was wondering if anyone is using Genesis entertainment? If so, are you getting the lights? I wasn't sure if we needed it or not, the guy said we can add it on later if we decided we wanted it so just wanted some opinions.

Also, anyone using their trees? I think we are going to and might do two very small arrangements of fresh flowers on each side (I am talking tiny, it would be one white hydrangea in a small cube vase that looks like a snow ball for winter)

I had the very same feeling when i walked into SC and then they showed me the menu and i was SOLD! I love my hall!!!!

We are using genesis, fell in love with Fabio!!! We threw it a lot of bells and wistles because, IMO first comes food and then music in the order of importance for a wedding!! I think the lights will look very very nice.

We are also planning on using the trees. So different and classy!! I've seen it done with little votive canldes on each side, which makes it so pretty.
Were having a star wars theme, so we need to figure out a way to add that element to the centerpeices...maybe legos or something.

A winter wedding sounds wonderful and i love your idea with the flowers!!!

We had a tasting and the food was unreal! So yummy! I absolutely love it there!

I am not using Genesis Entertainment, but I thought the general lighting was already included (the color change, etc)?

I am using Camelot Limos - they are awesome!

The uplighting in the room is included (to my knowledge), but GE has extra like spot lights and stuff that we added on.

I'm going to email Camelot now and try to make an apt to see them.

SC's food was AMAZING....So so so tasty!

I am using GE for ceremony and reception. I am getting wireless lighting with them. Also using their photo booth and percussionist.

I am usin their CP but I want votives on either side

I'm using Camelot too and hidden essence or bridal party flowers

I really feel like I need the lighting from GE. I think it helps 'set the mood' lol. Without it, won't the dance floor be lite the same as the perimeter of the room?

I love the idea of some form of live music too, a percussionist sounds awesome...That might be another thing that sneaks its way onto our budget.

My FH and I LOVED the idea of musicans with the DJ.
We got a singer, drummer and sax man....kinda went all out HAHA
