Sandals

What sandals resorts do you or do you not recommend??? We would be going in February. We are more sightseer/lay by the beach/pool people than sports people.

TIA

Re: Sandals

I did a test drive for Sandals in January. It was so awesome (besides the 2 hour delay b/c of snow). We went to Royal Caribbean- it's their cheapest resort in Jamaica. It's ok, but we def. want something more upscale. We booked Negril and are very happy!!

Royal Caribbean just seemed to be old and outdated, and it just doesn't seem very romantic.

we stayed at the Sandals Grande Antigua on the Caribbean side. Its the older side, but we liked it a lot. It's a lot of two story building surrounded by beautiful gardens, so its really tropical. The newer side is the Mediterranean side which is more like a big hotel. The rooms are supposed to be really nice. No matter which side you stay on, you eat at all of the same restaurants and use all of the same pools. The food and drinks were great and the beach is absolutely beautiful!

We stayed in the Roundveiw Hut right off the beach. It was amazing our bed was 20 steps from the water

We went to Sandals in St. Lucia last June and we had an amazing time! Hopefully we're going to be going to Sandals in Antigua this October.

Re: Sandals

We chose Antigua.
44 days until the wedding
45 until we are on the beach!!!
We have heard great things from friends who just went there on their honeymoon.
We couldn't afford the new hotel, so we may ask to be upgraded if they have rooms available when we get there...
