sandals montego bay vs sandals negril

JAMAICAN ME CRAZYYYYY!!!

i booked montego bay for my honeymoon in march but i started hearing alot about negril so i tried to split it half/half..the travel agent said we can't do that b/c of our promotion (staying in a villa w/butler 6 nights get 2 nights free)..she said it has to be one or the other for the whole period....i need input

montego bay HAS BETTER AND MORE RESTAURANTS/FUNNER RESORT/RESORT NEXT STORE HAS OFF SHORE ISLAND WE GET TO GO TO/CLOSE TO AIRPORT

negril HAS BETTER BEACH??BETTER POOL/GREAT SUNSETS/BOOZE CRUISE TO RICKS CAFE/BORING RESORT??

I'M TORN..HAS ANYONE BEEN TO THESE RESORTS???

I have been to the sands resort in negril.

negril is more the cliff side of jamaica so there really aren't beaches there.. it's more cliffs. But the sands hotel has their own little beach area. Just beware... there are sand fleas there!!!!!!!!!!!!

the resort was nice. large. the rooms were very nice. and there was food out all the time. it's totally all inclusive. they have entertainment at night. it's nice. swim up bar area, etc.

I've never been the the montego bay area.. so i can't really compare the 2.

i didn't stay in the sands resort... but my friends father did (we were there for a wedding) and we paid $100 to spend the day there. we stayed at Xtabi.

The beach in mb suxxxx!! Its rocky and crapppy! Negril has beautiful blue water.. They is way more to do outside the resort in negril bc its touristy.. Montego has nothing good.I loved my resort in MB, but there was bad beaches and nothing to do in MB itself, we had to go to negril

I stayed at Sandals MoBay 3 years ago; thought the beach was just ok-pic's i've seen of Negril blow the MoBay property out the water.

I thought the restaurant choices were good; but FH & I BOTH got sick while staying there. We think it was from the burgers from the seaside grill.

Got couples massages there-spa was great

Night light was a little lacking-they had a night club that literally had 5 people in it at one point, and they did have a staff talent show that was a lot of fun.

During the stay the swim up bar pool was drained and we could only use the pool near the lobby that was kind of bland-just a plain rectangle.

But the drinks were good; and about 1/2 way through your stay the airplanes flying above don't seem so annoying and you start waving to them LOL!

Oh-also we didn't get to eat at the off shore restaruant next door-couldn't get reservation :(

We did eat at Kimono's and that was pretty good.
