Re: Sandals St Lucia

I stayed at Sandles last year in St. Lucia. We stood at the Halcyan, its smaller than the Grand and the Regency but it's only couples (no kids allowed). Alot of honeymooners. It was fun. I hink the Grand was the best looking out of the three but the Halcyan is the most intimate and private.

Re: Sandals St Lucia

We stayed at the Grande, and we got an Oceanfront Concierge room, it had 24 room service too. You really can't go wrong at the Grande, it used to be a Hyatt, so its more like a hotel, and pretty much every room is exactly the same....the room we had was the cheapest in the Concierge level rooms there, and our view was beautiful, we were near the front of the resort, facing the ocean, the beach is on the bay side, so we didn't get the noise of everyone down at the beach when we were sitting on our balcony.....(every room has a balcony or patio). It was beautiful, FM if you want more details!

We had the same room...We originally had a room on the bay and the view was excellent...but there was an odd smell in the room...I think it was from the carpet and the humidity...I dunno so we switched rooms to a room service room....on the ocean....with a full bar, and tile floor. It was amazing.

Everything is excellent there...The service, the food, the drinks, and the scenery.

We choose the Halcyon for those reasons, more quiet and privacy. We aren't going till December, so I can't comment on the actual experience, but it looks beautiful and I've heard a lot of good things about all three.

Re: Sandals St Lucia

DH and I were there in July for our honeymoon. We stayed in a lagoon room on the second floor. Nothing spectacular about the room excpet that I liled the side we were on. It was very quiet and we sat on our balcony a lot so it was nice. If Iwere to go again we would splurge on a concierge room. However, the Grande is amzing!!!!! Loved every minute of it.

Re: Sandals St Lucia

We just got back from the Grande and I can't say enough incredible things about it. We stayed in a Luxury Oceanfront Room and loved it. It was enough for what we needed it for and the price was right.

We visited the other Sandals resorts there too and they are all really nice. I think it depends on the atmosphere you are looking for. You can't go wrong at any of them.

Re: Sandals St Lucia

That's great. We did wind up getting the concierge room. Let's see just how many times we actually call the CONCIERGE to our ROOM! But I'm glad you girls are telling me such wonderful things about it! I'm glad you enjoyed your honeymoons and I'm looking forward to mine! Have any pics to share of St. Lucia?

Re: Sandals St Lucia

We never called the concierge to the room, but it was nice to know we had it in case we wanted it.
