i just got back monday night from the grande
in short i'd say:
grande has the best beaches and watersports regency has the best food
you can take shuttles between them (we had dinner 2 nights at the regency, but im glad we stayed at the grande)
concierge room was worth it for us -- nice to have unlimited room service (used occasionally), nice to have the in room bar and fridge (used all the time!!!), concierge was super helpful (got us dinner reservations when they were fully booked, helped with things we prob wouldnt have gotten through the front desk, and we got to do a sweet excursion that was free for concierge guests)
i dont think a butler is necessary but i did see some butlers picking up crepes at josephines to bring back to their guests
hope this helps, FM me if you have any specific qs

Re: Sandals St. Lucia
We went on our HM to the Regency. We loved it! We were in the Romeo & Juliet Penthouse Oceanview Room in the Sunset Bluffs with butler service.
