We are booking the Grande. We compared all the hotels and with advice from the TA and Sandals rep we choose the Grande.

we booked the regency....i heard the Grande has nicer beaches.....and the regency has nicer restaurants.....but the regency was cheaper and we wanted a butler and a room with a jacuzzi. We didn't want to spend too much money because we are going to europe in Sept. '07 for honeymoon part two. the same room at the grande would have been $1700 more expensive.

I booked with marsha at travel solutions...she's great!

I have a feeling that where ever you go you are going to have a great time....i heard that the third one is terrible.

We went to the Sandals Grande in St. Lucia, very awesome!!!!!!! We were told it didn't matter if you upgraded to a better room, by others that did. We went with the deluxe room, which is the lowest room. And we were very happy!!!

Just so you know.... private plunge pool means you share it with another room, or 2 other rooms. To us, it didn't matter. The pool was right there and it wasn't crowded at any time!

And if you go, you HAVE to try the Nuts n Rum!!! They put it in the Sandals mudslide and it tastes like a peanut butter cup in that drink!!!! And please bring us a bottle or two back!!! We'll pay you!!!! We can't get it online!!

FM me for any details!!!!

you have to remind me before i go - in over a year but seriously i want to bring you back a gallon!!

Re: sandals st lucia-honeymoon help

You have no idea how good that liquor is. And it's only sold in St. Lucia because it's a St. Lucian rum. We are trying so hard to find it, since we got back, but even the website won't do it. ARGH!!!! We only bought two bottles, thinking we could get it here in the US. We drank the first bottle, but are afraid to crack the second one thinking it's our last. If you love peanut butter cups, try the Sandals Mudslide!!!!

I'm not sure if it's at the other ones, but it sure is at the Sandals Grande. If you book the other Sandals in St. Lucia I will tell you great recipes. Heck, if you book the grand, I'll tell you some great drinks to have ther too! I love them!!!!

Re: sandals st lucia-honeymoon help

if we booked the regency for the sake of saving money, we can travel back and forth between the 3 (if we book the pay for 1, play at 3 deal)... how long does it take to travel back and forth, and how often can you do that?

i mean, if you take a water taxi or whatever, at 9am, are they available every hour, every 3 hours etc?

Each resort has buses going from each place to the other. They have a bunch going every day. Once you get to your resort they give you a schedule to get to other resorts. We met couples that went to other resorts for the entire day and others that went for only dinner and drinks.

But, if you want to get a dinner reservation, do it the hour you get there! We 'planned' our trips to other resorts through the internet, along with our excursions. But we tried to book dinner at a restaurant 1 day after we got there and it was already booked. We lost. Try to figure out what you want to do before you get there and book as soon as possible, as soon as you get there! Don't miss out! We'd like to recommend the sunset cruise! We had a blast on that!

From what I remember, the trip lasts about 30-45 minutes from the Grande to either resort. You need to get a schedule at the front desk when you check in for the shuttles. We met a bunch of people that went between the resorts.

We stayed at the Regency and it is wonderful. I wrote a review with pictures on the honeymoon board.

The drink DH and I loved was the 'No worries, no problems' SOOO good!!!

Besides that, we didn't go to the other resorts, the Regency has had some work done to it recently, our room was totally redone and amazing, and the restaurants were really good. The beaches were nice, but we really hung out at the pools (no swim up bar in the ocean!)

The only thing I don't think people realize (and I didn't and my aunt is my ta) is that Sandals is like a cruise in the regard that if you want to do excursions, they cost more and some of them are rather pricey. We only did one. BUT a lot of the water sports are included. We rented a sail fish and had an amazing time doing that.

You won't go wrong with the Regency.

Just one thing about the restauarnts, if you DON'T book them immediately, don't think that you can't get in. I waited two days and was able to slip into two cancellations. Sometimes the conceirges from the other locations call and book things and then cancel them later on. I actually got LaToc when a bridal party moved their RD away from there.

We went to the halcyon two nov's ago the weather was nice it was mid 80's. It rained a little but when it rained it only lasted like ten minutes so it really doesn't bother you at all. All the resorts are really nice. we loved the trip it was alot of fun. You won't regret it. *** book activity's and dinner's right away and try all the resturants in all 3. Remember the cafe's are open late so if you didn't like something you can eat again if have any question just e-mail me I still remember that trip like we just went.

You share a Plunge Pool?
Aren't there private ones also where it is just for you?
I am thinking about going to St. Lucia as well
