Sands Point Reserve or Old Westbury Gardens??? w/poll

Pros about SPR: it is beautiful, castle like, only $100 and I can take pics all day long. Nice pic locations. It on the water. NO restrictions!
Cons about SPR: Its kinda far, but not really, 30 mins from Queens (not really a con). ANd another 25 mins to the hall.

Pros about OWG: Its beautiful, mansion like, nice pic locations, 2 mins from my hall
Cons about OWG: They want 400 dollars for an hour and half. You cant really walk around. They charge extra for the amount of limos on the premise.

Please share you own. Any other suggestions?

hmmm seems like sands point has better pros and the cons too is better for sands but i guess look at pics at both locations that ppl took and see which is more of the look you want

Ok I was willing to pay the $400 b/c I love the pics from OWG --- didnt really see any from Sands Point. But they're all booked for my date & another girl just posted that they're booked for November also.
So now I am regretting the fact that I was debating this for the past 3 months.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! don't know what to do now.

ohhhh sands point is only $100 and u can take pics whereever all day? even on the beach?? i was thinking about taking pics at 2 different places bc i wanted a park like place, and a beach...but i think that place would work with everything!!! i think im going to call!

Im afraid that with the OWG, if I choose a place outside and it rains, I dont think I can go inside and take pics.

Well when I called they said I needed a permit. SHe asked where I live and I said Queens so she said 100. If you live in Nassau , i think its cheaper. YOu can pay on the day of or pay before. The lady said you can take pics all day long if you want.

I love OWG, but they're booked up. I've been to sandspoint as well and I also like sandspoint but if it rains than your screwed. At least at OWG you can use the grand ballroom.

There are no inside locations for the SPR. Well for OWG you have to pay up front, if you see that its raining on your day you dont have to go to the SPR bec you dont have to pay up front with them
