Sands Point Reserve or Old Westbury Gardens??? w/poll
Original post by AS
Pros about SPR: it is beautiful, castle like, only $100 and I can take pics all day long. Nice pic locations. It on the water. NO restrictions! Cons about SPR: Its kinda far, but not really, 30 mins from Queens (not really a con). ANd another 25 mins to the hall.
Pros about OWG: Its beautiful, mansion like, nice pic locations, 2 mins from my hall Cons about OWG: They want 400 dollars for an hour and half. You cant really walk around. They charge extra for the amount of limos on the premise.
Please share you own. Any other suggestions?

not sure if its possible but since you since SPR doesn't have inside location to take pics, what if in case it rains that day to find another location to take pics such as a museum or something like that. I know some places like that allow pictures, you do have to get a permit first but just in case

I think you have to have a permit for museums. Didnt Jenlen ask about this and a museum told her she needed a permit. Whats the museum in Nassau County, NC museum , thats a nice pl. In my case if it rains I will take pics in my hall, they have rooms for that

I need to find a place where we can take pics inside. I was so looking forward to take pics at Planting Fields in Oyster Bay but I called up & they said you can't take pics inside anywhere not even the green house. I was so upset now i need to start all over again.

lol its ok...well i know for example thenew york public library in midtown you do need a permit, not sure about a fee or anything like that but the place is gorgeous and infact they even have weddings there and from locations in manhattan that one was one of the real nice ones. Hmmmmm maybe i need to think of a back up plan in case it rains lol

Yeha best thing is to start calling now and asking about pricing and all that, if they book up quickly etc. There are prob so many photo ops in Manhattan, you just have to research.
I got a call from the photo, I have to pic and e-location ohh lordy

Im afraid that with the OWG, if I choose a place outside and it rains, I dont think I can go inside and take pics.
If it Rains they let you inside. I just booked them. That is why i booked them. Plating Fields is also beautiful but no inside, just an over hang on one of the buildings you can go underneath. ANd they charge as well----about $200 and they will mail applications in January.
IF you want OWG....send application NOW.. I am getting married in August and I was told that I'm the LAST one to get my date.

WELL WE already decided to either do manhattan or brooklyn promenade, first choice will be manhattan so for this we dont have to book anything we'll just well go into the city lol but if it rains i should have a plan lol, the streets of nyc wont be that great while its raining lol...i might look into the NY public library

Wow...how did you remember this. I don't even remember which museum I asked about. I think it was either Nassau Country or the Queens Country Farm museum (sorry, i know they're completely different).
You don't want to just use Westbury Manor for pics?
