Sans Souci?

I was just wondering if anyone has been to a wedding at Sans Souci. We are having our wedding there in September and I haven't spoken to many people who've been there. Thanks!

Sans Souci?

My Mom went to a wedding at Sans Souci in November. I am also getting married there in June. My mom loved the food (she tried the Thai encrusted Chilean Sea Bass). The only thing she was disappointed in was the cake, which she thought tasted funny. She called Lou to ask him about it for our wedding and he was very accomodating and mentioned that she could try samples before our date (as I am planning from out of state). Hopes this helps

Sans Souci?

I've heard it's beautiful. I think you made a good choice. Are you going with the house DJ? I am using him (Joey from Jam Entertainment) for my wedding at the Watermill, aand since I did not know anyone who used him, Joey gave me Sans Souci as a reference. I called Lou and he said Joey is the house DJ and is great, and that I'll love him. Happy planning!!

Sans Souci?

I am using a friend of the family as the DJ but I think Joey was at a showcase at Sans Souci that I went to. I am sure he is great if Lou says so. The Watermill is beautiful too. Good luck!

Sans Souci?

I am getting married at Sans Souci next summer. I did a search on this site and found a bride, Faith, who had her reception there. She said she was open to questions, so I e-mailed her this week, and she answered all my questions. She said the food was fantastic, and that the house florist, Daniel Hedgecock, was really easy to work with. I'm sure that she would answer any questions you have.

Sans Souci?

Hi there--another Sans Souci bride here! I have never been to a wedding there. But from what I have heard--mainly from brides on this and other wedding sites--the food is delicious. I went to a food tasting/showcase last fall. The food was good, but I was not happy with the cake. (I think it was a yellow cake with chocolate filling). We actually complained to the chef! We just went to another showcase a few weeks ago and we thought the food and the cake were great. They served a yellow cake with chocolate mousse filling, a chocolate cake with espresso filling, and a carrot cake with cream cheese filling. All 3 were delicious and moist. Good luck planning! I`m happy to hear of other Sans Souci Brides! -Diane(October 12, 2002)

I'm having my reception there May 11th

I guess I seem to be the next up in terms of posters on this board. It'll be here in 3 months!! I have been to a wedding there before (in 1994 when my uncle got married) and enjoyed it so much, that almost 7 years later, when I got engaged, it was the first place I looked into (out of many!) and ultimately went back and booked. You won't find better food!! They are known for it!! The only thing I would be careful about is the number of people you may have. They say it can fit up to 175, but in my opinion, we were at a showcase with 140 people and it was tight. I think it's the perfect size for my 100-120 guests.

went to an engagement party there believe it or not!!

I remember it was very good..very spacious, and good service. I can't comment on the food...I think my boyfriend and I had a fight, and wound up leaving, so I can't remember specifics!!!
