Sat. Night????
I think it depends on the place. Sometimes it's a lot more money, sometimes it's not much of a difference at all. We wanted to have our wedding on a Saturday night, but the place was already booked for all Saturdays, from May-Aug.

Sat. Night????
It can be a big difference. not always in the price, but the minimum guarantee. The price is higher still.

Sat. Night????
Kimberlee, I wanted to have my wedding on a Saturday night also but the price went up so much from my experience in checking out different sites it is has been much more expensive on a Saturday night so I chose a Friday night.

Sat. Night????
From our experience, the per person charge is more expensive on a Sat night and the minimum guarantee is also much higher. We wanted a Sat night reception as well but like a lot of couples opted for the Friday instead.

Sat. Night????
I think you will almost always find Sat to be higher in both the per plate cost and the Room Guarantee. There is a 25 person and 15% per plate difference at our reception site for Sat vs Fri. The Room Guarantee can really get you. I know its hard to do but try to be sure you have a good estimation of your headcount going into this process. One of the things I picked up on early on was to ask what the Room Capacity is and then find out the room guarantee for each time slot. Ultimatley it comes down to prioritizing what is really important to both of you. We went with a Friday night because we loved the place and felt the food, service and atmosphere were more important than a Sat night. Its all personal preference.

definately
We really wanted Saturday night so we had a problem because we are only having around 140. It was more expensive and hard to find a guarantee less than 150, but we found a wonderful place that guarantee was 135 and we are paying about 15 more per head.
