So for the last month I've been looking for bridesmaid dresses and having the most difficult time!! I'm torn because my wedding is in May and I keep thinking that Satin is a fall/winter material.
What do you think??
Also my bridesmaids are a little concerned that satin wrinkles a lot so they think chiffon might be better. But of course I'm having trouble finding chiffon dresses that I like!

I really like chiffon...but I'm having a fall wedding, so I think I'll probably go with satin. I think that a light satin will be fine...as long as its in a light color. I wouldn't do anything dark and in satin. If you want a dark color, go with chiffon.

Both Jordan and Impressions have some really nice chiffon or giorgette material dresses.
I'm kinda having the opposite problem right now. I was drawn to chiffon, but I have a pretty large BM and every lump and bump was visible in the lightweight chiffon, whereas the delustred satin disguised a lot more....soooo satin it is.

I like both satin and chiffon dresses. I chose satin because I am getting married in the dead of winter, and I think satin is warmer and richer looking for the winter.
If I was getting married spring/summer time I would have probably went with chiffon.

Satin is fine all year round. My wedding was in May and the girls wore satin dresses.

I agree that chiffon is a more lightweight material and could understand why you would use it for your may wedding. However, my wedding is in July and i am using satin. My attitude is whatever looks best!

Honestly, I'd go with which dress you like best as a whole. Don't search for a certain type of MATERIAL bc you'll end up going NUTS! Just search for something you like, and it'll look beautiful no matter what!!!!

I dont like Satin. But if you dont think your BM will look ok in the chiffon. Then they will have to wear the satin. Or maybe you can ask them one by one what they like best and pick from there
