As of now, I'm booked for a Sunday evening (6pm - 11pm) wedding in November. I've been considering switching to the day before which would be a Saturday, and I would have it during the day, i think from 1pm - 6pm. But I'm still up in the air and fh said it doesn't matter to him.
So, my question is, as a guest, would you rather attend a wedding Saturday during the day or Sunday night?

i'd always choose saturday over sunday for convenience, unless it's a three day weekend.

My wedding is a Sunday night and it's the day before Columbus day. I know that not everyone has off on Columbus day, but the majority of people attending our wedding will have off so it's not something I'm worried about. When I have attended Saturday day weddings, after the wedding I felt like I needed to stay out and not go home. If you do a day wedding you have to get up much earlier too!

I'm having the same dilema as you. I just recently booked a Sunday night wedding, monday is columbus day so i'm hoping alot of ppl will have off. But i'm a little worried bcuz my coctail hour starts at 6:30 and my wedding ends at 12:30 which is late if you got work the next morning. I'm also considering switching the date to Sat., although i might have to pay more because i still want it to be an evening wedding. But if you dont mind having an afternoon wedding, i would go with Saturday.

I'm a teacher too so the thought of being a wedding late on sunday and having to get up the next morning is murder. I have done it and it was not the best thing. At least Saturday gives your guests a chance to recuperate the next day. Another thing that m FH thought of b.c he loves to 'party'. You can have your wedding on the Sat afternoon and you can always keep the party going back at your house or at a hotel you reserved for out of town guests or whomever.

I would prefer Sunday evening. Saturday is the day that ppl usually use to run their erruns. Sunday's ppl don't have anything to do. But it also depends on your guest. U know their routine

Saturday AM= Wedding Saturday Afternoon= Reception Saturday Night = After Party Under Tent at my Parents GOTTA LOVE THE IRISH!!! PARTY TILL SUN DOWN SUNDAY!!!

I voted for Sunday evening!! I would take off on Monday if anything. I am so not a morning person..plus I want to be busy the whole day with the wedding..at 6:00 if the wedding was over, I'd still want to do something else to finish off the nite, ya know?

Go for Saturday because Sunday Night's are hard because people have to get up the next day for work! Unless you do a Sunday afternoon! Also Friday Nights are a little less expensive than Sat. Nites!
