My question today- even if you chose your ring, etc- were you totally surprised by your proposal?
I had nothing to do with anything and FH TOTALLY surprised me with everything! I was wondering why he was so tense during our road trip up to Bar Harber, Maine! But he had the ring in his pocket the whole time!

i knew it was coming.. but didn't think it was going to happen that day.
We even fought about it that morning, because he said 'wouldnt today be such a great day to get engaged? Too bad i'm going to your cousin's bachelor's party tomorrow.' I was like 'o please, it's not like your going to war for a year!'
Then I was in a bad mood, and he convinced me to go for a motorcycle ride before dinner (we were going out for our 10 year anniversary)
We were watching the sun go down so we started walking to the motorcycle to head back for the night, when he dropped to his knee!! I was sooooooo happy it finally happened but couldn't believe it at the same time! I had NOTHING to do with the ring, but it was more beautiful/bigger than I ever could of even dreamed of!

I was not involved at all with picking my e-ring so I was definitely surprised when FH popped the question. That's not to say we hadn't discussed getting married - we did a lot. And I'm not gonna lie - I kinda thought that is was going to be sometime that year that he was going to ask, but I wasn't expecting him to do it when he did so he completely shocked me!

nope totally knew it was coming...we were together for years and we already had a kid it was just a matter of time...plus he made me come with him to pick out the color ruby i wanted in it

I was not suprised at all, but it didn't make it any less special. I was waiting for my aunt in another state to give us the ring. So once I got it I knew it was coming and I gave it to my Dad to hold.
I knew for about a week before because FH told me not to make plans for friday because we were going to Teller's (I had been dying to go) for dinner with his friend and new GF. He was gone all night thursday with his Dad 'at home depot' but really getting my ring cleaned. I knew it was going to be Friday night.
When we got to the restaurant his friend (read his Dad) called and cancelled. He did it before we even ate, he said he couldn't wait lol. They were so nice at the restuarant. Even though I wasn't suprised I loved every second of it. But don't tell FH he thinks he got me!

i knew it was coming because I stumbled upon the ring while putting laundry away. FH came running downstairs trying to stop me, but he wasn't quick enough. He wanted to propose when we went to disney world. I gave him the ring back and told him to do it when he feels right.
But that didn't stop me from signing up on LIW
I was surprised though when he actually did it because it was in front of everyone at dinner the first night we were there. We're actually staying at the hotel where the restaurant we got engaged at is in for our HM

not surprised at all! I was expecting it for a while and he was being so weird when he did it. The ring was a surprise though!!!
