Save the Dates

How soon is too soon to send out save the dates?

My STDs should be arriving any day now. The wedding date is 7/11/08. We have a lot of OOS guests.

Just wanted to get an opinion on this! Thanks!

I would send them out no earlier than a year in advance.

Our save the dates went out about 9 and 1/2 months before our wedding. We also have a lot of out of town guest and we are getting married over a holiday weekend.

I should also add that our STDs went out 8 months before the wedding -- but we got engaged less than 10 months before the wedding!

I agree, we're sending the ootg hotel info & the wedding weekend itenery w/ the stds.

I'd say a year in advance sounds about right, I sent mine out two months ago (only about 10 months in advance)

no more than 12 months. My wedding is also the week of July 4th. And I have NOT had one person say they can't come b/c of the holiday. HTH

about 9 months before the big day. My wedding is in July, and I mailed all the Save the Dates out in November

We sent our STD in Jan-07 or wedding will be in Sept
