Save the Dates

Save the Dates

So seeing the question on tables and seating, makes me wonder...

What to do about Save the Dates?

I am currently designing magnets and have postcards as a back up, but my question is......

WHO GETS THEM?

We have a bunch of OOT people, so I was thinking them, but with Finances the way they are, we may need to change the date (don't want to at all, we will see what happens) so is it better to not send any at all?

Opinions?

Thanks ladies!!

i think you should send them to everyone on the list... but if you want to save some $ instead of sending it to kids you may have invitied (over 18) who still live with parents you just send 1 per residence

If there is a possibility of changing the date I wouldnt bother with them.

I agree, just make sure you will definitely invite to the wedding those who you send the save the dates to!

I'm only sending them to family, bridal party, and people who will definatly be invited no matter what.

I've decided not to do save the dates since everyone in my family and my friends already know the date. Just would be a frivoulous expense for us...

Good point because you don't want to send out save the dates and have something happen between then and the wedding which would cause you to not want to invite them, but they already have a save the date, I've heard of this happening!

But if you definately are keeping the wedding the way it is only send them to the people that you are positive you want at the wedding!!!

we are doing OOT guests, and people we def know we are going to invite like close friends & family.... only because i would kick myself in the @$$ if i sent a STD to someone i originally had on my list that i later wanted to take off my guest list...

I am having about 300 people and do not plan on sending each person a STD. I am going to send one to my immediate family,,cousins, and second cousins (my family is very close with them). I am not sending it to everyone on the guest list.
