Save The Dates

How far in advance do you send out Save the Dates?

I'm going to do mine in January, which is 10 months before.

If I do them, I would do it 9-12 months before. I am getting married in October of 2010, so I would either send them out in October of 2009, before Thanksgiving and Christmas and the Holiday rush, or I would wait until January when things and people have calmed down, so it doesn't get lost in the hustle and bustle.

i sent ours out a year before only because we don't see our families very often & when we do, wedding really isn't the topic of conversation.

Love that idea! I wanted to have them as part of the table setting at my engagement party next month, but my MOH keeps telling me that people would end up leaving them behind and then I wouldn't know who didn't have one. I still really like that idea though so maybe i'm not entirely convinced. If not i'll send them with the E-party 'thank you' cards, about 9 months before the wedding...

prob 10-11 months before...we are having a sunday wedding, so i want everyone to have enough time as they can to prepare..

I will be sending mine out about 11-12 months before as we are getting married on Memorial Day Weekend 2010. I originally wanted to do it a yr before - but I don't think I will have all the addresses by then to do so!

Our wedding is November 13, 2010 and we will absolutely have them sent out by December 13, 2009.

However, that is the absolute latest date we will be sending them out; we will most likely have them out a few weeks before that.

I am going to send them about a year before...I have alot of OOT guests who will have to travel far and I want to give them plenty of time to save up money/book a flight and hotel if they are able to make it...

i dunno if you or FH are into designing things but FH and I designed our own STD and went to staples and got magnet sheets for cheap and printed it up and cut them out..they looks awesome
