I do have a lot of out of town guests so I think I will send them (OOT)save the dates this coming August. Then send everyone else that lives here around December.

We sent ours out early because it was a Sunday wedding. About 11 Months before wedding. I would say normally it should be 8-10 Months.

I sent mine out in about 11 months from the wedding. I didn't want to wait till 6 months before the wedding since the invitations are done in 3 months before the wedding.
