Save the dates - when is it okay to start sending them out?
We're getting married Labor Day weekend 2015. Should we stick to the 12 month mark or would anyone suggest sending it out sooner?

I would not send them out before the 1 year mark. I think 10-12 months is perfect. I sent mine at the 10 and I would have done the 1 year if it was for waiting on the in-laws guest lists

I don't think you need to send them out before the 12 month mark. We sent ours out 11 months before.

I sent mine out 9 months before. I say 9 or 10 months before is good.

We are 4th of July weekend and sent ours 10-11 months out. I definitely wouldn't send them more than a year before, though I know it's exciting to get them out!

I sent mine 11 months before. We are getting married the week after thanksgiving and 2 weeks before Christmas so we wanted to give time. I suggest 11 months for holiday weekends!! :)

I think about a year before would be fine. We are getting married next April and I am hoping to send ours out in June or July.

We did about 13 months before. We're getting married 12 days before Christmas and I have a lot of out of town family (and out of the country as well). We also have a seemingly popular date (12/13/14) so we wanted to make sure we had our bases covered.

Fellow labor day wedding!!! (mine is this labor day!) I would do 12-13 since its a holiday weekend. I would have sent mine out around that time but I'm actually planning my wedding in a little less than a year. I got engaged on my birthday 9/11 so mine didn't go out till December.
People make labor day plans in advance so its better to send out early
