Re: Saving for wedding- Any sacrifices?
its not really a big thing, more like a lot of little things. like, i bring my coffee from home a few mornings a week, it only saves like $5, but thats gas $$. and i bring lunch from home, because buying lunch everyday gets expensive. chris pretty much does the same, bring lunch, cut back on dinners out and movies and stuff. to us, its worth it because we know the day is going to make it all worthwhile.

Re: Saving for wedding- Any sacrifices?
Well, we don't go out to dinner that much (only on special occasions mostly). We don't buy each other extravagant gifts. We really just don't buy anything 'extra' at all. I have to buy some new clothes and things for work, but otherwise no shopping. We were supposed to go on vacation only b/c we were going to use our tax refunds for it, but when thet refund had to go elsewhere - no vacation. What else? FH drives a car from 1988. Yes EIGHTY EIGHT....we were 6 years old in 1988.
Tat's about it. I get my nails done because I need it for work and because it's $6 a week that makes me really happy..but other than that, I don't spend anything

Re: Saving for wedding- Any sacrifices?
It mostly seems that I am the only one sacrificing - but FH has 2 daughters and they suck the money right from him.
No Manicures/pedicures Hair cut every 3 months instead of 8 weeks Bring lunch to work - if I don't buy it at the grocery store I don't eat it (it's got to be all or nothing with me) No unnecessary shoppping whatsoever - credit cards are in storage I am working on quitting smoking - a huge savings there! (if I do this than I could let myself get a manicure every so often) My dry clean only clothes are in storage. That's a waste of money.

NO real sacrifices....I still get my manicures and pedicures and hair cut and colored. I did pay off my credit cards which was a HUGE HELP I haven't really bough clothes in a while though. I am just cutting back here and there I guess

We're just cutting back too. I actually have to buy new pants bc one pair of my black pants are fading to a dark green color! I guess I have to spare a few bucks to get a new pair!

No really major sacrifices. We just save as much as we can. I still get my nails done. I enjoy it too much.

Major sacrifice: moved out of my apt and back in with my parents....it's been 2 weeks and is going well so far, but I miss living in NYC! I work there and the commute isn't all that bad, and it is soooooo nice that I didn't have to write an April rent check!

hmmmmmmmmmmm,
No vacation this year Took of my nail wraps and get mani/pedi when necessary Not out to dinner as much Bring lunch to work Died my hair back to natural color so highlights wont be as expensive (but I think I want them back this summer) No unnecessary shopping..although this one has been difficult..
I am sure that more will come along when the clock ticks closer to 10-14-06

You call living on $125 a week a sacrifice, try $40 dollars a week!!

Re: Saving for wedding- Any sacrifices?
I just recently soaked my nails in acetone and I'm not getting my nails done every two weeks anymore.
I might go for a manicure ever so often still though...
My ring looks bigger without nails I noticed...

In college I lived off of $20 not including gas....$50 including it...Now I live off of even less because I'm not out of the house every day

Re: Saving for wedding- Any sacrifices?
I can honestly say that my life has not changed much since we started saving for a wedding...I still get my nails done, hair done & shop (just not as much) We discussed what we were willing to spend on our wedding without changing our lifestyles as we knew them before...I think the biggest thing is no BIG vacation this year....
FH & I both contribute money every week from our paychecks & at this point in time we have all the money needed to pay for the wedding...We are still saving though bc we are using the remainder of the money for 'house emergency' money...
