We were bad and we booked everything we wanted... a September wedding on a Saturday night etc... but we just didn't overdue anything. We didn't get the venetian desert hour and we got a Dj instead of a band etc.. We are just saving in other ways. FH works alot of OT and I got a second job on Sundays. We also do not go out to dinner anymore or really go out at all, we are skipping christmas and birthday presents etc...

I work for a high end printer so im printing my own invites, name/table cards, programs, thank yous...anything paper related im printing.
Also since we do retouching im getting that done here for my photos and our photographer also does weddings so ill have him.
I'm pretty lucky with all of that

1. Sunday Twightlight wedding 2. Basic video -- not movie style 3. Using Barons instead of bridal salon for veil and headpiece 4. Using a printer directly for invitations instead 5. DIY menus and favor cards 6. Donations instead of favors 7. Dress at friends bridal salon (discounted) 8. No bridesmaids (no flowers, gifts, etc)
The two things I refused to cut back on was my RH and the band. Those are the things people enjoy. No one cares about your flowers or your video. People will still enjoy themselves never knowing where I cut costs.

I am having a friday night winter wedding. I saved sooo much there. I went with a candle cp and saved a ton. Also taking a lot of side jobs. Me and FH have an envelope hidden and we put in extra money when we have it... 10 dollars here... 20 dollars there and am hoping we will be able to pay for limos with that. I am up to like 130 dollars just in a month so it's really working for us.

- We're getting married on a Sunday (although we're Jewish, so we're supposed to, lol) - I'm gonna try and do my own stationery - I'm gonna try and buy my dress at a sample sale, although I can't promise where I'll fall in love, lol
