Re: SCARS
Yeah - vitamin E - but I agree with jess, it's the massage that does it for the swelling. Rub it constantly towards the heart.
AND be sure to constantly apply sunscreen. Like everyone said.

I don't know how long ago you had the biopsy but I'm hoping the results are just fine!!!
I may be in the minority on this one, but I'd say to just leave it be and chalk it up to this is part of who you are. Please understand that I say this with only good intentions. I have a bunch of scars on my body from cancer surgeries and treatments, and although it did take me awhile to just 'let it go', I've found that they have become my proverbial 'battle scars.' I have a 3-inch horizontal scar above my left breast from my port (where I had IV lines for chemo) that is visible when I wear wide-neck shirts, spaghetti straps, etc. I wore an off-the-shoulder prom dress back in 1992 (2 yrs after I finished chemo) and when a few people asked about the scar, I simply said, 'I had cancer.' Anyway, my wedding gown is strapless, my scar is very visible, and quite honestly, I don't even notice it anymore unless someone points it out. It's just become part of me.
But I do understand if this is something that bothers you or something that you may feel self-conscious about. In that case, I'd say try the Vitamin E as everyone else has suggested, and also talk to your doctor, as there may be something better that he can prescribe rather than over-the-counter remedies that don't work. You may also want to try Dermablend, which I haven't used myself, but have heard good things about from a few people I know.
Lots of to you!!
my mom also had cancer - she had melanoma and has huge scar on her chest which is also very visible and she feels the same exact way you do! for me, im upset that i have the scar but know its better to have the scar and be healthy (this biopspy came back abnormal but not cancer so it was a good thing i had it removed) - its just a bit of a bummer - the scar is actually lower on my back so its covered in all types of clothing - so im not worried about it being visible to other people since the only way it will be seen is if im in my bathing suit or undies! i just want it to look the best that it can - i have lots of scars from biopsies - most of them are from shave biopsies and for some reason i tend to keloid - so its just another scar to add to the bunch i guess i bought these silicone sheets that basically suffocate the scar, i read up online and they seem to be one the of best things you can do for a keloid or hypertrophic scar so i will see what happens....
thanks so much for your message glad to hear you are doing good now!

Re: SCARS
honestly? NADA.
DH has scars from an accident he was in. We tried many different things and nothing worked. It has been over a year now so we know nothing will change. Doctors have said there are some laser treatments that could flatten out the scars, otherwise he would need to have the areas reopened and stitched again to get a smoother scar - although there was no guarantee that they would not go back to exactly how they were.
i know this isn't what you want to hear, but unfortunately this has been the case for us.
you can buy those silicone sheets at CVS or other drug stores... they are very expensive and for us were not big enough for the areas that needed to be covered
